About Tetlin Native Corporation

 

In accordance with the federal Alaska Native Claim Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971, Tetlin Native Corporation (TNCorp) was incorporated under provisions of the Alaska Business Corporation Act. TNCorp is the solely designated village corporation for the Native Village of Tetlin tribe and is governed by an uncompensated Board of Directors and administered by a General Manager.

Land Management

o

TNCorp holds surface and subsurface land rights to acreage in eastern Alaska containing Alaska Highway. Land and all natural resources of the corporation are protected for its shareholders but open to the public by paid permits. Under permits, TNCorp extends access for:

  • Hunting (with Bear Stations)

  • Woodcutting (personal firewood harvesting and commercial timber extraction)

  • Gravel sales

  • Mushroom harvesting

  • NO camping or fishing is allowed
